How I Built My Family's Private Netflix

I practice what I preach. My own family's archive, 1,400+ home videos spanning decades, lives on a private streaming server that works exactly like Netflix.

How It Works

A master Google Sheet tracks every video with titles, dates, descriptions, and tags. A media server (Jellyfin) streams them to any device. A custom sync system keeps everything connected, change a title in the spreadsheet and it updates everywhere.

What It Feels Like

Open the app, search "Christmas 1992," and hit play. Browse by year, by family member, by event. It's the family archive you always wished you had, searchable, streamable, always available.

Why This Matters

This is what I build for myself, and it's the level of care I bring to every client project. When I say your memories deserve a permanent home, I mean it. I've built one for my own.
